I am finally back! My Internet connection got cut off from me for 5 whole days. 5 painful days? Not quite.... but that's another story. Being objective here, I just found some nice and funny videos on YouTube which I thought I would share with you guys. You like pool? I'm not a huge fan of pool, there are other things which I like MUCH MUCH MORE, but that's a trade secret...
This is a video making fun of all other people who "act" like they are good with pool and post all their "lucky" shots on YouTube. Moral of the story? Don't be a show-off lol. Jack purposely shoots bad, its a joke obviously =)
Notice how Jack gets lucky with many of his shots, namely...
"Missing 8 Ball" - He gets the black ball in unintentionally... "Four Square" - Red ball goes in somehow by sheer luck lol... "Straight Shooter" - The ball at the end goes into the hole by luck lol "Straight Shooter Take 2" - Cue ball in =)
If you have a YouTube account, subscribe to him, he has some other funny videos, which I'll put up here sooner or later. Enjoy the laughter, and relax =)

Rules of Engagement
Friday, February 20, 2009, 7:42 PM
Alright, I needed to post this "post" a long time ago, but I got lazy and then some...
It is about my Rules of Engagement, on the Internet. By Internet I mean MSN, YouTube, Facebook, forums and others. People are bombing me with messages and alerts and expect me to entertain them when I obviously have no time. Lets start with MSN shall we? I thought so.
Online (Talk talk talk to me all you want, I'm cool)
NOTE: SOMETIMES I MAY SHOW UP AS "ONLINE", BUT I MAY BE SLEEPING. WHY WOULD I DO THAT? DON'T TELL YOU.
Busy (Do not talk to me, or I will block you, send me an email, whatever, but DO NOT talk to me)
Away (Since I'm "away", talk to me, and I will read it when I come back, I might reply you, cos sometimes I am in front of the computer, but I just put "away" for fun)
Be Right Back (I will respond to whatever you say in at most 1 hour, promise) In a Call (I put this for fun, talk to me, sure thing)
Out to Lunch (Eating, otherwise same as Be Right Back)
Appear Offline (Schadenfreude)
Now for YouTube....
Do not respond to my comments on my channel unless I end my comment with a question. DON'T.
Do not reply to my comments on my videos after I have given you 3 replies. Well actually you can, but I won't reply anymore, and you may be blocked.
Do not send more than 3 channel comments to my channel per day, or face blockage.
Facebook.....
DO NOT POKE ME!!! "I cannot over-emphasize this" - to quote someone quite amusingly =) Needless to say, DO NOT SUPER-POKE ME, or else OH BOY!!!
Do not ask me to play any games on Facebook, but you CAN ask me to take some quizzes or send me presents on write on my wall blah blah. Just don't ask me to take part in Facebook applications, they are irritating. "Be a Pokemon", "Play Poker" all sorts of rubbish.
The forum....
Read the rules, all 27 of them, and do not violate them, then I am cool =) I am perfectly fine with private messages, but do observe the rules.
And with that said, uh-uh-uh I need some sleep. Soda and sleep. Its nice to be able to rest after a long "eventful" weekend. Whew.
And here's a logic problem for you.
Mr and Mrs Tan went to the market to sell apples. Both of them sold 30 apples each. Mr Tan sold his apples at 2 for $1. Mrs Tan sold hers at 3 for $1. If both of them sell all their 30 apples, Mr Tan would have made $15, Mrs Tan would have made $10. Their total income would be $25.
However.....
If Mr Tan sells at 2 for $1. Mrs Tan sells at 3 for $1.
This means that the both of them sell at a price of 5 apples for $2 (simple math come on).
If such is the case, when they sell 60 apples (30 + 30 easy math) at 5 for $2, they earn 2 x 12 = 24 dollars
But when they sell their apples separately they earn 25 dollars.
Where is the missing dollar?
Heheh, I thought so...

High stakes, low risk

I was watching YouTube as usual, and then I came across a video... Shut up, just watch, if you live in Singapore. Marc and TJ you guys should like this.
I could not believe what my 8 eyes were seeing, I mean 2 eyes. Not to mention that I was inside the video for about 10-30 seconds. My mind was blown squarely in half. But after the fun and joy, suspicions began to flow. There are many things to observe here.
1. Look at the angle the video was shot, this means that the people who shot the video have access to a higher platform. Which group of people I wonder?
2. If you have figured out which group of people have access to such a "delightful" filming angle, can you hear the voice of a person talking? Does he sound gay? Come on, say "Yes" and don't disagree with me.
3. By showing you this video, it is as good as revealing my YouTube account name to trolls and flamers. Nope this video was not posted under my account, but from this video trolls and flamers can "easily" exploit key links and discover my YouTube account, if they know how YouTube works, which they do. If they don't, then I'm safe, but I am not taking any chances.
I thought so... I thought so... I knew someday this rubbish will happen.
4. If you have zero idea as to what is going on because you live outside of Singapore, its ok. Otherwise, I'll just spill the beans. This video was filmed AND uploaded by the President of my Co-Curricular Activity (think of it as a compulsory time waster), of the dance in the money-grabbing Slaughter House of a school which I attend. Don't you agree, that colleges are all money-grabbing Big Brothers? Don't disagree with me. And yes, the President is gay, and he knows that I know that he's gay. And he knows that I call him gay.
Come on Matthew, instead of doing rubbish like this, why not use the time to buy me those iM@S badges, hmm?

Quickie #8 (Octo Tentacalia!)
Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 7:27 PM
Someone in my class pissed me off. And in return, I will do nothing.
Except beat him in March's Common Test. Or Term Exams if you call it that in the US =)
Its a pity that I study because of others, not because of myself. But I'll take anything now...
And Aaron, lets see if I score better in my General Paper or you score better in your English Language. I swear American teachers mark leniently, because their English blows =)

Valentino Augustino uggh.
Saturday, February 14, 2009, 12:13 AM
Whatever that means. A Happy Valentine's Day blah blah blah. I'd probably spend Valentine's Day the same way I've been spending it for the past 10 years or even more.
Stay at home and spend quality time with my little black box.
10 years in an all-boys school one way or another, nothing much here. Not to mention that spending Valentine's Day with "your loved one", if you have any, NEEDS A LOT OF MONEY! So I'll pass on that one. Without money, don't even start on the subject of a girlfriend.
I do, however, need to buy a card for 3 special people, just card, I have NO MONEY for presents.
Moving on, here are the top 3 songs as voted by the active members of the forum. The winning song is now part of my blog's music playlist and at the time of writing this post, is the "active" song playing. I know some of you will come back here and read this and make me eat my words, but I said "at the time of writing" - bleh you can't touch me.
1st: "I Hate It" by ELLEGARDEN 2nd: "Fighting" by Yellowcard 3rd: "Time's Scar" by Yasunori Mitsuda
"Fighting" by Yellowcard came VERY close to winning. VERY. Almost there guys, almost, I like both the top two songs, but ELLEGARDEN has more style in my OPINION.
Therefore the next time we vote, the remaining songs will still qualify for the subsequent contests until they win =)
Once again Happy Valentine's Day, I could care less, it doesn't concern me anyway.

Play-o-list-o One! (UNO)
Thursday, February 12, 2009, 6:34 PM
I present to you early... EARLY! The nominated songs....
"Fighting" by Yellowcard "Rookie of the Year" by Funeral For A Friend "I Hate It" by ELLEGARDEN "Pride and Honor" by Hidenori Iwasaki "Selumna Peak" by Keiki Kobayashi "Our Farewell" by Within Temptation "Time's Scar" by Yasunori Mitsuda "斷點" by 張敬軒
Rob chose the first song, Paolo chose the second, Kirby chose the third. I chose "Pride and Honor" =) Tun Jiang chose "Selumna Peak", Marie chose "Our Farewell". Freya chose "Time's Scar".
Marc chose the last song, a Chinese song. I'm surprised that he did not choose an Indian song, even more surprised that the Chinese song he chose is pretty good =)
The rest tell me your vote here, YouTube, Facebook, the forum, up to you.
Have fun =)

Time?!?
Wednesday, February 11, 2009, 8:35 PM
Its time to vote for the next song on my blog. Results will be out in about a week (or this weekend if I feel good). Feel free and get creative. Any song of any language will quality, even orchestral pieces with no lyrics also qualify.
Do not vote using the tag box here, YouTube or the forum.
I'll be laughing really hard if an Indian song wins. Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist. I know Marc will nominate an Indian song.
Till then, its the only thing that makes me happy form all the nonsense occurring in school.

Woot! Arranges!

To make this real quick cos its late and I want to sleep. Here are some changes that take effect from nao. NAO!
1. The forum has moved, old one shut down, new one just opened.
2. My FaceBook is up and running now. I didn't want to use social-networking sites (Friendster was a nightmare for me), but I have no choice. It will be used as another form of communication. No friend requests outside Singapore for "peace and quiet" reasons.
3. And with a quick post there must be a quick video. 19 seconds, shortest ever. Only people who play NG-2 should watch this video, the rest probably wont make sense out of it.
A whopping 60-Hit Vigoorian Flail combo! Ciao!

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Friday, February 6, 2009, 6:08 PM
Just came back from Orchard. And I bought close to a hundred dollars worth of things. Actually its just a few things, but it all adds up. I bought 4 books in total and 1 DVD movie. 3 WarHammer 40000 books and 1 Strategy Guide Book.
Total cost: Close to 150 dollars including GST.
Words in the brackets are the names of the publishers of the book, just for your information. A publisher of a book is the company which prints the book, SIMPLE!
Also, when I say "Space Marines Chapter", it means a group of Space Marines, when I say "Chapter 1" of a book, it means Chapter 1 la!
1. Blood Ravens by C S Goto (The Black Library) This epic book tells the story from the point of the Space Marines Blood Ravens Chapter. The prose and english isn't as good as the other WarHammer books which I happened to browse, but the first chapter of the book does make me want to read on. Not to mention the Space Marines are my second favorite race.
2. Storm of Iron by Graham McNeill (The Black Library) A Space Marines book (also) from the point of view of the Iron Warriors Chapter. Better english, but not my favorite Space Marine Chapter. My favorite is the Ultramarines Chapter and their book, The Ultramarines Omnibus. Refer to the post on 12/17/2008 to see a picture of that book. The first chapter of the book is a bit boring, but I have high hopes for this one.
3. Brothers of the Snake by Dan Abnett (The Black Library) Another Space Marines book, this time through the Iron Snakes Chapter. Its the thinnest book out of the 3 WarHammer books, so I might read this first? This book has the best english among all 3 books, why? Because Dan Abnett wrote it, all his WarHammer books have awesome english, learn from him if you want to nicely describe how someone gets killed and dies.
4. Persona 4 Official Strategy Guide (DoubleJump Books) Just bought P4 a week ago, and you always need a book to go along with the good stuff on the television eh =)
And here it is, the 1 DVD I bought.
5. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
The first picture is the promotional poster of the movie, the second picture is the front cover of the DVD box set and the video is the trailer for the movie with english subtitles. I like the song in the video, maybe it'll end up on the blog? All in all, a fruitful trip to town today, buying a lot of stuff to spend my weekend with, besides textbooks.
Now I just need to watch this awesome movie and read the books =)
Time waits for no one - True, true.

We fail to represent We fail to be content We fail at everything we ever even try to attempt
- The Future Freaks Me Out, Motion City Soundtrack
Love the lyrics, love the band, love the song, describes me to a certain extent. But my favorite song by them is not this song, its another one, maybe next time I could show you?
Going to Orchard Kinokuniya & HMV tomorrow, here is the list of people going.
1. Tun Jiang 2. Sean 3. Justin 4. Yours Truly
Its like only the 4 of us read Warhammer novels unlike the rest of the world. At least I know we do not read Stephanie Meyer books like the rest of the world.
Hopefully Friday dismissal time for me is 12.30pm if the time-table goes according to schedule. Hopefully no Standardized Time for Assessment and Revision and no extra lemons, I mean lessons. But then again my good friend Murphy loves playing pranks on me just when I do not need them.
Come on Murphy, break? This once?
Ciao, later...

Just a little bit more....
Wednesday, February 4, 2009, 7:33 PM
People around me seemed to have changed, or am I the one who has changed? Probably not me, no?
It took me almost an entire year to realize that people in this world are pretty darn petty and most of them take things at face value. Or in other words, 18-year-old kids of today cannot take jokes, cannot suffer, and constantly need to have the things they want, when they want it. That took me an entire year to realize that as people grow older, they become less and less tolerant, and expect more and more from this dastardly world. I hardly had problems with friends before I went to college, and now I know why college years are the years with the most rubbish.
The guys I know over on YouTube and the Internet often complain about college. For those who have not experienced it, you'll probably shrug it off and say, ah its just immature garbage. Oh its garbage alright, but its far from immature, its personal.
Back in my Secondary School (High School in USA), I hardly have people giving me sulky faces when I do not agree to do something for them. In college I swear people are out there to show you a face if you do not work with them. You're 18 for goodness sake, be independent if others can't help you ATM. Some teachers too, crazy.
And here is something extra for your viewing pleasure. Subconsciously in every person's head, the person will begin to group his/her friends into several categories. And these are the categories, think of your friends and think which category they might REALLY, place you in.
Best Friend (1 ONLY usually) Buddy (About 10 to 20 most, very close, only friends of same gender can be your buddy) Great Friend (About a good 20-30, close, just below buddy) Good Friend (Most likely will become a Great Friend as long as you know the person for some time) Casual Friend (You talk, but don't hang out together, probably because you hardly see one another or just have other better friends)
Ally (You talk to the person for AS LONG AS the person has something you need and the person needs something from you) Repulsive Friend (You don't want to talk or see this person, but have no problems even if you do) Enemy (Don't like, straight and simple) Rival (Don't like, and you will purposely work hard to beat that person in something, anything) Nemesis (Every time you see him/her your hands get itchy and you want to hit the person)
To be honest, I have a lot of allies in college, a lot. I hardly have any friends past Good Friend status. Oh well, take it one step at a time.
I'll be heading to Orchard Area this Friday to pick up some books and a DVD. What DVD? Don't tell you now. I'll tell you once I bought it and watched it =) Anyone in Singapore who I know in real life can call my cellphone number if you want to come along. Anyone in USA is welcome too, but I suggest buying a plane ticket right after reading this post =)

Tuesday, February 3, 2009, 8:57 PM
Somebody told me today that I should be more polite.
HA! Surely you jest! So says the person who keeps calling me Augustino.
You want me to be more polite to you? Be polite to me and say my name correctly first then =)
Augustino.... Who taught you that, who who?
Come on, come on, respect-o!
Haha ciao, later =)
